I-95 ICS System Conceptual Design, FDOT District 6, SE Florida. ITS systems engineer in the development of the first vision for ITS in Southeast Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties). Investigated and recommended state-of-the-art technologies for ITS system, developed guidelines and made recommendations for DMS locations within the study area. Conducted preliminary engineering study for the I-95 DMS. The study determined final DMS locations; evaluated future locations for CCTV and detector applications, and developed a conceptual future build-out conditions for a comprehensive Advanced Freeway Management System. Evaluated the impacts of ramp metering the on-ramps to I-95 would have on the adjacent arterial network. Once the impacts were identified geometric improvements were recommended to maintain a certain level of service at the I-95 interchanges.
